Fascial Release: a chance to slow down, move and reconnect

Fascial Release in Cranbrook Kent

Have you ever noticed how your shoulders rise when you’re stressed, or how you hold your breath without realising it? Sometimes we become so used to tension that we only notice it when we finally slow down.

That’s one of the reasons I bring fascial release into my work at LifeWorks.

What is fascial release?

Fascia is connective tissue found throughout the body. It surrounds and supports muscles and other structures, and plays a part in how we move and sense our bodies.

Fascial release is a gentle way of working with movement, breath and body awareness. In my sessions, I use Fascial Manoeuvres: guided movements that give you time to notice where you feel restricted, soften unnecessary tension and explore what feels more comfortable.

I’m an accredited Human Garage Fascial Manoeuvres Coach, and I bring this work together with my experience in Pilates, breathwork and coaching.

Who might benefit?

You might come because you feel physically stiff or tense. You might be finding it hard to switch off, or feel as though you’ve been carrying a lot for a long time. You don’t need to be flexible, experienced or able to explain exactly what’s going on.

People often come to Release & Reset for space to:

  • Move gently and pay attention to their bodies

  • Notice patterns of tension and holding

  • Slow their breathing and settle

  • Take a pause from always being “on”

Everyone’s experience is different. Some people notice a change in how they move or feel after a session; others find the value in simply having time to stop and listen to themselves.

What happens in a session?

I guide you through gentle Fascial Manoeuvres, with space for breathing, rest and reflection. You work at your own pace, and I offer options so you can respond to what feels right for your body.

There’s no pressure to push through discomfort or to share anything personal. You’re welcome to arrive exactly as you are.

What about physical and emotional trauma?

Difficult experiences can affect how safe, settled and comfortable we feel in our bodies. You may notice yourself bracing, breathing shallowly or struggling to relax. Making time for gentle movement and body awareness can help you notice those responses with more kindness.

Sometimes emotions come up when we slow down. Sometimes they don’t. Neither response is right or wrong, and emotional release is never something I try to force. Fascial release is not a treatment that removes trauma from tissue, and it isn’t a substitute for medical care or trauma therapy. It can, however, offer a supportive space to reconnect with your body alongside any other support you may need.
