You know it makes good business sense to look after your employees’ mental and physical wellbeing. Your livelihood depends on having a healthy and performing workforce. As your greatest asset, surely it is far better to take a proactive approach to employee engagement and health, than a reactive management of sickness absence and underperformance?
Happy employees are more productive. The more engaged your employees are the more loyal and innovative they are. Who doesn’t want a more productive, problem-solving workforce? Only 2 in 5 employees are working at peak performance, according to Mental Health at Work Report 2016.
Let’s buck the trend.
Awareness of the importance of mental health is thankfully on the rise, but there is still a long way to go. According to Mind, the mental health charity, 1 in 6 people experience a common mental health problem (like anxiety and depression) in any given week. Which makes their finding, that 95% of people who have had to take time off due to workplace stress didn’t feel able to give their employer the real reason, even more shocking. There is clearly a lot of work still to do when breaking down stigma and creating open and supportive work cultures. Do you think your employees would feel able to be totally honest with you?
Let me help you create a mentally healthy workplace and a strategy to help your employees stay well at work.
Together we can create a company wellbeing programme that will help your business and your employees thrive.
I will raise awareness of the importance of physical and mental health amongst all your staff, equip them with the skills to assess their own wellbeing, and empower them to identify areas they’d like to change.
Together, we can introduce company-wide initiatives and best practice tools, that will create a supportive, open and healthy culture that isn’t frightened to talk about mental health and wellbeing.
GROUP WORK & WORKSHOPS
I create a safe space for meaningful, purposeful conversations – online or in person. A space where your staff can: look at the habits and patterns that are serving them well in the workplace and at home; connect with what’s important; uncover obstacles and saboteurs to their success; and develop a self-awareness that will empower them to make the changes they need to boost their wellbeing and make their life work better for them.
I coach individuals, online or face-to-face, on how to set their own smart goals and identify small, manageable steps to change and stronger mental health and wellbeing.
One-to-ones are particularly useful for those wanting to: improve how they communicate and their ability to empathise and negotiate with colleagues and clients; individuals struggling with change; those who need help with specific challenges.
